The World’s Most Luxurious Holidays

Last week’s sunshine convinced us Summer had finally arrived. Unfortunately, like most UK heat waves, the weather quickly changed and the temperature dropped as fast as it had risen. With the holiday spirit still here, we’re taking a look at the world’s most luxurious holidays and dreaming of our next getaway.

Warning: May cause jaw-dropping, unforgettable experiences.

North Island, Seychelles

Cost: $11,000

Rent a private 8,000 square feet villa at The North Island Resort. Surround yourself with a coconut grove, wooden decks and a secluded beach. You may even bump into George and Amal Clooney or Will and Kate.

Bisate Lodge, Rwanda

Cost: $1,100

The Bisate Lodge sits next to Rwanda’s Volcano National Park which means you can stay in one of six villas and overlook the nearby volcanoes. Each villa features overlooking decks and central fireplaces. My only question is: who needs a fireplace when you’re overlooking a volcano?

White Desert, Antarctica

Cost: $195,000

This is possibly the quickest trip you’ll ever take. Travelling from Cape Town, you’ll spend 8 hours exploring Antarctica, followed by a gourmet champagne dinner. Oh how we can wish.

Laucala Island, Fiji

Cost: $44,000

You can’t buy yourself into this private island, all reservations must be approved by the island’s owner. If you’re lucky enough to pass through the private road, on the private island, you’ll enjoy the ultimate secluded luxurious experience high atop of Fiji’s Laucala Island.

Hotel Georges V, Paris

Cost: $26,500

A hotel with one of the most iconic views in the world – the Eiffel Tower. Sit on the private balcony of the penthouse apartment at the Hotel Georges V and look across the Seine. Complete your trip by soaking in your very own marble infinity bathtub.

Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa

Cost: $15,000 – 51,000

The ultimate glamorous safari trip. Come home from a day of exploring to an air-conditioned house, featuring four-poster beds. Enjoy dinner cooked by a private chef or complete your stay at the resort’s spa.

Chalet Zermatt Peak, Switzerland

Cost: $57,000 – 191,000

Take skiing to the next level. This five star chalet sleeps 13 people and comes equipped with a Michelin-starred gourmet chef and not one, but two in house massages per day. Perfect after a long day on the slopes.

Omani Dhow, Oman

Cost: $22,000

Set sail through the Musandam fjords, on a boat reminiscent of the golden age of Arabian voyages. Stop in secluded fishing villages and private bays, book cooking classes with the boat’s chef or dive in the Dhahab bay.

I’d love to visit the hill top villa in Fiji with my husband. He’d look wonderful there in his jiggler short sleeve shirts. Thank you.
